Welcome to Mrs. McNulty’s Grade 7 class! Grade 7 marks your child’s beginning in the intermediate grades. Your child is becoming a self-directed, independent learner, and soon will discover where their true passions lie! Grade 7 will be a year of discovery, learning and fun!
As a teacher, I hope to help your children become independent learners that LOVE the journey that life-long learning can bring! As a teacher, I recognize that it is my job to encourage, motivate, and inspire students to become independent leaders built around our Catholic faith. I appreciate these values and use them daily when working with the students. I also hope to instill a sense of confidence, interdependence, and excellence in each one of my students. My personal motto for the class is “Education is the key to success! " Learning opens doors to opportunities allows them to flourish and discover their own talents. If they ask questions and are curious about the world around them, they WILL become who God wills them to be!
As a parent, your interest in the school program is extremely important. Your encouragement and participation in class events and excursions will help your child develop self-esteem and a positive attitude towards teachers, peers, school and learning. The parent- teacher partnership is crucial, and a positive environment will help your child realize and develop his/her full potential.
To foster good parent to teacher communication, I will be posting ALL homework, assignments, and other pertinent information on this website. Please monitor this website closely to see everything that your child is learning in school. Please read the pages in front of the agenda that describe many of the routines and procedures that are followed at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic School. I use technology a lot during the school day to foster 21st century learning. Students are encouraged to bring in their electronic devices and use them a part of our classroom. Mrs. Rivers (our principal) also hands out a monthly newsletter to indicate what our whole school is doing. It is important to post her calendar up on your fridge, or in a noticeable area, to remember important school events. Read this newsletter with your child and get involved!
If you would like to contact me please send me a note in the agenda. Alternatively, If you have any questions for me, the best time to reach me at the school number (416-393-5283) is at our lunch time (11:30-12:30 pm). I am looking forward to working together this year with you!
Sincerely Your Partner in Education,
Mrs. McNulty
